Around the Marina and all along the Avenida there are dozens of companies offering fishing trips, Grotto Trips, Dolphin Spotting Safaris etc. There are fishing trips galore ; take part in an exciting shark fishing adventure, learn how to fish properly from onboard professionals or just kick back, enjoy the sun and have a beer. There is excellent big game fishing around the Algarve; marlin, swordfish, dorado and tuna and of course the usual blue and mako sharkas. Dolphin Spotting is very popular; a rib will race you out to sea where you will hopefully see dolphins and possibly turtles and whale. The grotto coastal trip is another one of those “must do” experiences in Lagos. Hundreds of thousands of people visit the coastal areas of the Algarve to view the magnificent grottos and caves.

There are a huge number of sports available along the Algarve, with golf being the best know with dozens of some of the best courses anywhere, many a short distance from Lagos. Some of the available activities are; surfing, tennis,sailing, horse riding, walking, cycling and any water activity that you can imagine.

There are numerous parks around the Algarve and within easy travelling distance of Lagos. The websites give information about opening times, prices, location etc. All the main parks run their own buses from and back to the major tourist areas. This makes a day trip easy without needing a car.
